Title: Market penetration models [electronic resource]: MPM
- Distribution Media: 5 1/4" floppy diskettes
- SuDoc Number: E3.1/5-2:
Abstract: The Market Penetration Models (MPM) for Geothermal Heat Pump
Systems (MPGHP), Residential Rooftop Photovoltaic Systems (MPRESPV), and Active
and Passive Solar Technologies (MPSOLAR)--three series of DOS Lotus 123 spreadsheets--
are tools furnished by the EIA for users to estimate and interpret the potential
of these systems to displace primary energy from the present up to the year 2010.
The MPGHP, MPSOLAR, and MPRESPV models consist of series of spreadsheet files that
are linked together by formulas.
Extent of Collection: The distribution media contained DOS WordPerfect
manuals, DOS Lotus 123 data tables (version 3.0) with embedded cell references and
DOS ASCII batch files that change values in data tables to simulate different
scenario runs.
Data Conversion: The DOS WordPerfect manuals were converted to PDF format. The
DOS Lotus 123 files were not converted because their cell references will not translate
to other spreadsheet software. For more information about data conversion,
see File Processing and Quality Control.
Minimum Software Requirements: (1) Software capable of reading portable document
files (PDF), such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. (2)
DOS Lotus 123 release 3.0.
Files: DOS ASCII files contain carriage return characters. ASCII files do
not contain cariage return characters. For information about downloading these
files, see Downloading Tips.
