Abstract:
These data contain the 1991 survey results of the "Annual Fuel Oil and
Kerosene Sales Report" (Form EIA-821). Prior to the 1989 report, the
statistics appeared in the "Petroleum Marketing Annual" (PMA) for reference
year 1988 and the "Petroleum Marketing Monthly" (PMM) for reference years 1984
through 1987. The 1991 edition marks the eighth annual presentation of the
results of the ongoing "Annual Fuel Oil and Kerosene Sales Report" survey.
Extent of Collection:
The distribution media contained an ASCII User's Guide and a self-extracting
compressed file.
Data Conversion:
The DOS self extracting file was decompressed and the files are available
in their original ASCII formats. Extraneous ASCII characters were removed
from the ASCII documentation, report and data table files. These "fixed"
files were saved with .TXT file extensions. The ASCII data file was translated
to ASCII CSV format and variable labels added. For more information about data

Minimum Software Requirements: (1) Software capable of reading ASCII
text files. (2) Statistical software capable of importing ASCII CSV data files.
- ASCII text - text files can be read by most file viewers and
word processing software.
- ASCII data - text data files can be imported into most
statistical and database software. Data values may or may not
use separators. Common separators are commas (ASCII CSV), tabs
or spaces.
Files: DOS ASCII files contain carriage return characters. ASCII files do
