Abstract: The Annual Energy Review Database (AERDB) provides a machine
readable transcription of energy and related data published in the "Annual Energy
Review" (DOE/EIA-0384). The AERDB is produced using the same parent database and system
that produces the data published in the "Annual Energy Review" (AER).
Extent of Collection: The distribution media contained DOS ASCII
documentation files and DOS ASCII CSV data files that are designed to be
imported into database software.
Data Conversion:
Extraneous DOS ASCII characters were removed from the DOS ASCII data and
documentation files. The "fixed" documentation files were saved with .TXT
file extensions. The "fixed" data files were saved with .CSV file extensions.

Minimum Software Requirements: (1) Database software capable of
importing ASCII CSV files.
- ASCII text - text files can be read by most file viewers and
word processing software.
- ASCII data - text data files can be imported into most
statistical and database software. Data values may or may not
use separators. Common separators are commas (ASCII CSV), tabs
or spaces.
Files: DOS ASCII files contain carriage return characters. ASCII files
do not contain carriage return characters. For information about downloading
