[electronic resource]
- Distribution Media: 5 1/4" floppy diskettes
- SuDoc Number: E 3.11/17-14:
Abstract:
This data collection contains data regarding electricity sales (megawatthours)
and associated revenue (thousand dollars) by selected electric utilities on
DOE/EIA form EIA-826. The monthly survey consists of the utilities with the largest
sales within each state.
Extent of Collection: The distribution media contained
rectangular DOS ASCII data files. There are two data files for each year.
One file is monthly sales and revenue data and the other file contains
utility company codes and names. Data for 1991 and 1992 includes all
months. Data for 1993 is January through August and data for 1994 is
January through March.
Documentation:
Record layout documentation in PDF format was obtained from the
UCLA Library.
Data Conversion:
The rectangular DOS ASCII data files were translated to ASCII CSV data
files using the record layout specifications in the documentation.
Variable labels were added to the translated data files. For more
information about data conversion, see
File Processing and Quality Control.
Minimum Software Requirements: (1) The PDF Acrobat reader is freely available from
the Adobe web site. (2) Statistical
or database software capable of importing ASCII CSV data files.
