UCSD GPO Data Migration Project:

The goal of the UCSD Library Data Migration Project is to preserve legacy Government Printing Office machine readable computer files that were originally distributed on 5 1/4" Microsoft DOS floppy diskettes to the UCSD Library. The objectives of the project are: (1) provide a permanent archive for the GPO files, (2) provide access to the archive, and (3) whenever possible, extract and/or process the files so they can be utilized by a variety of software applications running on many different kinds of computers.
