In the first eight months of the year, the industry sold 3,434 units. Exports have increased 161.4%, to 1,158 units compared with 443 sold in the same period of 1994. In August, the industry exported 24 trucks, 30 chassis, 22 fifth-wheel trucks, and 28 buses. Sales of diesel motors are down 96.25%, from 1,040 for August of last year to 39 for the same month this year.
