STUDY DESCRIPTION: This data collection contains California's death data by cause in 2002. These data include detailed information about the place of death and medical data related to the death (ICD 10th revision). For each decedent, cause of death variables include the underlying cause of death, the underlying cause of death group code and the contributing cause of death. Users should note that personal identifiers are suppressed with blanks or where place of death occurred is out-of-state.
