STUDY DESCRIPTION: This dataset contains records for each public elementary and secondary education agency in the 50 states, District of Columbia, and United States territories (American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and the Marshall Islands), as reported to the National Center for Education Statistics by the state education agencies. Each record provides state and federal identification numbers, agency's name, address, and telephone number, county name and FIPS code, agency type code, student counts, graduates and other completers counts, and other codes for selected characteristics of the agency. Information on grade span and on the number of schools, classroom teachers, and staff is also included in most cases.
